May 1, 2004 Members are appointed to the panel for two-year terms. They are paid $100 per meeting.
President: Christopher H. Olson
Olson is Englewood's director of safety services. He began his career in Englewood as a firefighter in 1976. He also has been certified as a police officer. Olson is the chairman of the Arapahoe County E-911 Authority, the Arapahoe County Hazardous Materials Response Board and a board member of Crimestoppers, Inc.
Vice President: Samuel Williams
Mayoral appointment January 2002
Williams is an adjunct professor at Johnson and Wales University and a real estate broker. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1977, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He is a former member of the Colorado House of Representatives and the Breckenridge Town Council.
Williams is the president of the 100 Black Men of Denver.
Commissioner: Cecilia E. Mascarenas
Mayoral appointment February 2002
Mascarenas had a 30-year career as a probation officer and supervisor for the Denver Juvenile Court. She is a former governor appointee to the Colorado Board of Parole and a former mayoral appointee to the Public Safety Review Commission.
Commissioner: Elizabeth I. Kiovsky
Mayoral appointment February 2003.
Kiovsky is a partner in the Baird Law Firm. She spent several years as a member in the Labor and Employment Law Department of Sherman & Howard, and as an associate general counsel for Qwest Communications.
Commissioner: Anna Flores
City Council appointment October 2003.
Flores is an author and mystery writer. She was the director of the Denver Commission on Aging from 1983 to 1989. She has been a staff member on various local and statewide political campaigns.
